The facility has been operating continuously since 1963, presenting military collections mainly from World War I and World War II. The exhibitions are located in the museum's main headquarters on ul. Armii Krajowej 13 and at ul. Gierczak, in the vicinity of a historic tenement house from the 15th century. At the entrance to the facility there are cannon barrels from the 18th century. We can also see medieval collections of pole, blunt, secant, knee, propelling and firearms. Exhibits related to the fighting at sea, anchors, technically efficient naval compass, weapons of Polish, Western European, Swedish and Eastern origin are exhibited from the 17th century. Monuments from national uprisings come from the 18th and 19th centuries. The museum also has the armament, equipment and uniforms of Polish soldiers from World War I and II, cars, planes, armored weapons and artillery, which are exhibited in the hall of military technology and at an outdoor exhibition.
