A Renaissance castle located on the Castle Hill in Szczecin, in the vicinity of the Oder River, the historical seat of the Gryfit family, rulers of the Pomeranian principality, and the name of the cultural institution administering the Castle. The castle prepares and organizes concerts, theatrical performances, exhibitions, conferences as well as scientific and popular science meetings, including those regarding the dissemination of knowledge about the history of Western Pomerania. Permanent proposals include: Sunday Southern Concerts, Chamber Concerts, annual Spring Guitar Concerts, summer Promenade Concerts and co-organization of the International Organ and Chamber Music Festival in Kamień Pomorski, the International Festival "Music in the Cathedral" in Kołobrzeg and others. Exhibition activities is an average of forty exhibitions a year, among them: presentations of Polish and European paintings, exhibitions of modern art, photographic and historical exhibitions. There is also an art conservation studio in the Castle, and the Mint Wing houses the Cultural and Tourist Information Center (CIKiT Zamek).
