The lighthouse is a showcase of Świnoujście and one of the biggest tourist attractions of this type on the Polish coast. High at 68 meters is the highest lighthouse in the Baltic Sea and one of the highest in the world. The lighthouse is located on the right bank of Świna, in Warszów - the industrial part of the city. Launched on December 1, 1857, it serves as a beacon since 1958. In 2000, the facility was opened to the public, where you can see a lot of curiosities, including a diver's outfit weighing 70 kg with cylinders and a 4 200 W light bulb. Before the lighthouse was opened for tourists, it was completely renovated in 1998-2000.
